The NBA trade deadline was on Thursday February 20th. There were'nt too many blockbuster trades, but here are a few worth mentioning. Especially when it involves my Brooklyn Nets (Nets Babay!!!).
Jason Terry and Reggie Evans were traded to the Sacramento Kings for Marcus Thorton. I think the Nets win this trade due to the decline of the "Jet" and "Roughhouse Reggie". Thorton is a great perimeter shooter and a flat out scorer. He will bring a lot of offense off the bench.
Steve Blake, point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, was traded to the Golden State Warriors for MarShon Brooks and Kent Bazemore. Blake is a solid player (does'nt turnover the ball). He will give Mark Jackson and the Warriors some good minutes.
The "Vet" Andre Miller was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the WashingtonWizards for Jan Veseley to the Nuggets. The Nuggets are relieved that Miller is gone due to the friction he has with Brian Shaw. He will also add veteran leadership to the young Wizards who have played pretty good this season.
Another good trade was Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen going to the Indiana Pacers, sending Danny Granger to the Philadelphia 76'ers. The Pacers keep adding to an already good team and getting some value for Granger who will be a free agent this summer. Will this help them beat the Heat. We will see. The Playoffs are right around the corner.
Until next time, Peace.
